SCESC New Dawn Academy

New Dawn Academy is a therapeutic alternative learning environment for students needing preventative care and psychological services. The program's goal is for our students to develop the necessary skills for long term success in all aspects of their life. We have created a culture of engaging, enriching, and positive learning in a supportive, small classroom setting.

In partnership with Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care, within the daily school routine, wrap-around therapeutic supports and coping skills development are provided. Mental Health Clinicians, with the guidance of a psychiatrist, design a treatment plan targeting the specific mental health needs of each student. In addition to counseling services, after school supports are also available where needed.
